our Oxy-Ion chamber.
What
is Oxidation?
In
the “pool world”, oxidation
is the process of destroying impurities
utilizing charged oxygen. This is essential
in a pool to eliminate protein, sunscreens
and other undesirables. The Silk Water
system oxidizes your pool water by energizing
the chamber’s specially-coated titanium
plates. As the water flows between these
plates charged oxygen is generated, which
destroys impurities in your water. The
result is clean, clear water!
What
is Ionization?
Ionization
is the process of breaking molecules apart,
which forces them to combine with other
substances. We ionize copper and zinc
into your pool water by energizing the
chamber’s copper-zinc alloy plates.
The liberated copper and zinc ions attack
algae, viruses, bacteria and other pathogens,
leaving the water safe and healthy for
you and your family.

An
often overlooked, critical component of
effective water purification is pH control.
Silk Water pH controllers provide intelligent,
safe, automatic pH control using a pH
sensor and CO2.
The
pH sensor constantly monitors the water
pH to ensure that it is automatically
maintained at the correct level.
We
promote the use of CO2 for pH reduction,
since it is much safer than acid to use
and store. Our CO2 injection technology
provides the most trouble-free and efficient
utilization of CO2, which saves you time
and money.
